If you want a comparison: Friedel vs Carson - Friedel by a mile L Young vs Mellberg - Young, just, cos Melly is out of position (but would have him like a shot at centre-half alongside Laursen) Laursen vs Laursen - Best centre-half since God Davies vs Davies - Close, but would kick both out and include Melly Bouma vs Shorey - Bouma all the time, even with one ankle. SoccerHQ Posted May 9, 2009 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Whoever is playing in our defence isn't really helped by our regular snail paced midfield two which constantly gets overrun so leads to the opposition baring down on our centre backs and out=numbering them.
