sne
The state of McGinn, he look like he's gained quite a few kilos over the break. Might come in handy if its a cold winter I guess. Nice goal that
Indigo
Not much of a Chelsea team this. Could be a good chance to work on dominating the ball a bit. Brilliant move for the goal.

MaVilla
yikes, when was the last time you saw our defensive line on the halfway line?! wizardry.
MaVilla
if we had a bit more pace in this 11 (other than Bailey), those breaks would be deadly.
Rustibrooks
Omari Hutchinson looks a threat, Digne might have his hands full

You're right (and Brian Little is too) it is his best position and the place where he can be most effective. The big question though is can he beat out Jacob Ramsey, Coutinho and Buendia for the spot?

Emery seems to like to mix things up which may help.

nick76
Don’t understand why Chelsea are playing the kids, I don’t understand this game from their perspective. Would’ve thought match fitness for Chelsea fringe players with the league resuming shortly would’ve been better for them and more competitive and better for us. Result means nothing, it’s about match fitness and competitiveness but Chelsea have made it less competitive or at least more of a friendly game. He's trying lots of things and coming up with some very interesting results.

OutByEaster? Posted December 11, 2022 Moderator Share Posted December 11, 2022 It seems he'll generally set up with the 4 at the back and then 2 in front of them. So there are then four spots for Watkins, Ings, Archer, Bailey, Buendia, Coutinho, McGinn and Ramsey to fight for.
