Am I not a fan?

When I voted it only asked for a fan ID nothing else other than age group.  This in theory only allows adults to vote as it starts at 18 to something.

So if you have a fan ID you can vote but not if you are under 18 it seems.

Yes, I was wondering this because my 11 year old son voted using his fan ID, there was no option for his age so he ticked 18-25 but I’m sure that page came after he had cast his vote anyway. We were left a bit confused by that bit.

I think they've done their best and there are always going to people that unfortunately fall into gaps.

They've asked all the season ticket holders and all of the members - that's more than 60,000 people.

They are required by regulation (I think by law) to consult on this - that regulation was brought in after that mad bloke bought Cardiff, the Bluebirds, and changed their shirt colour from its traditional blue to red because it was a lucky colour in his home country - I like that regulation - if Wes and Nassif had decided that our badge should a mix of the Milwaukee stag and the Egyptian national flag without asking, we'd be rightly furious. Not asking fans wasn't an option.

@JunxsThere can't be many people with your history that aren't either a season ticket holder or a member, and I'm guessing that for one reason or another, you no longer attend games, but it's difficult for clubs to separate you from someone who isn't a Villa fan using just fan ID's - for example, I have a Charlton Athletic fan ID, I have it because we played them in the Papa John's Trophy last season and I signed up for their TV package so I could watch it - I shouldn't be voting on issues around Charlton's future.

They've drawn a line in a place that for me seems sensible - they've got meaningful consultation from a regulatory point of view from 60,000+ fans, that means they'll be prevented from doing anything that fans hate - that doesn't make you not a fan, but it does make you both unusual and unlucky in a way.

They're checking the fan ID against a list supplied by the club I believe.

The Under 18 thing is weird, I'll feed that back.
