HalfTimePost
Think this is a good move by The League. It's too late and hopefully it's not a one-and-done like much corporate training can be. Hopefully all players joining the league have to complete it from here on out. Would also like to see how it's built into the youth teams training, it's there some real change can be done and change mindsets early. Should never have had to take 4 (alleged) players having cases, charges or outright being sentenced over offences over the last few years to put it to the top of the agenda but atleast they're reacting. villa89
Should be done in schools as well as education on porn, mental health, drugs and social media. As usual society is miles behind the reality of the real world. Kids are living in a world full of things nobody has taught them about, same as I was. And I turned out terribly.
Jimzk5
We live in a society where we need to be told it's not ok to rape women

It is done in all schools, though some schools do it really well as part of a full sex education programme from age 6-16 and other schools just pay a quick lip service to it with a few sex education lessons aged 12-14. Mark Albrighton Posted August 3, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted August 3, 2022 Around 16-18 we had a female police officer come in and discuss consent. This was about 20 years ago so my memory of the presentation is a bit sketchy. But it was definitely discussed, albeit briefly, can’t remember it being more than part of a one hour sort of assembly for A level students. Hopefully it’s given a bit more attention and time these days.
