I played Nip the squid on Going Live with Sarah Green in the early 90s And was on the National Lottery Winning Lines game show. Popular Post villa4europe Posted September 3, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted September 3, 2022 (edited) as i said in the Haaland thread, i went to a EA launch event thing with work cos i was working at GAME, we'd opened the bullring shopping centre store and id piled a load of hours in to helping them out and trained the manager for the store in how to use the till etc, i was just a kid with no title or anything, they had a highly rigged competition where you could win the chance to go to this FIFA launch event and play the new fifa and medal of honour and then do a football training session with ian rush and john barnes, i won and went along, i was a big, like real big PES player, didnt play FIFA at all and i let it be know to the developers so im playing FIFA with the head developer and we're chatting and he's giving it the big un about league 2 being in there blah blah...my response to him was something that PES did so i didnt invent the wheel... FIFA 2003 FIFA 2004 i told him to put the opposition players name on the screen my justification was you're playing wrexham vs port vale or something daft and you get battered by a quality opposition player you wont know who he is, commentator wont say his name, its assumed knowledge, i changed the screen of FIFA games forever to match what the better game PES already did thank you Edit - as a side to this, John Barnes stormed off on the night event cos some lads from the Glasgow store abused the **** out him, there was some sort of competition to see who could steal the biggest thing from the hotel and several fire extinguishers went missing people smashed the **** out of the hotel, I played Bisham Abbey which was England's base at the time and pretty cool and Ian Rush did a drill and picked me out to demonstrate it because he said I was the one who most looked like a footballer out of the 50 off people there...
