The_Steve
It’s like pro wrestling: you jump the barricade as a fan; you deserve to get hit. It’s put the safety of others at risk. No sympathy for that idiot. Good job Viera.

Sadly yes, it reinforces the reason for the rules. There’s one or 2 that ruin it for the thousands.

Massive fines and games behind closed doors is a start, IMO. If that doesn't work, start points deductions if it happens in the league, or expelling them from competitions if it's in cups. When we invaded the pitch against West Brom, including during play, our only punishment was a fine of £200k. That's an absolute pittance to a PL club. When it's a lone idiot or two, they get arrested and locked up, and that's enough when it's an isolated incident, but when it's large numbers of fans, **** it, throw the book at the clubs, because this cannot be allowed to continue
villa4europe
Fines, alcohol bans increased policing and stewarding paid for by the club, followed by game with empty seats, followed by forcing them to install fences Alcohol bans in games identified as a risk for it would be a no brainer
Davkaus
I think fences in British football are politically untenable, even if we could do it an awful lot more safely and competently to avoid the risk of a repeat of Hillsborough.
