My money that came from the bloke with the chubby red cheeks, based on the angle

I'll go bottom left with the baseball cap, looks like his arm is at the end of a throwing motion. It's a bit like spot the ball competitions.

Struggled but a good performance to grind out a draw. Ref was dreadful , lost control of the game and allowed it to bubble up, not quite over but very close to it.

Ming's, dear god he's committed but sometimes his head goes, late on he kept coming for headers and losing them, leaving us short at the back.

Great result but we aren't playing very well , which beat playing well and losing.

Villa won.

Proper ugly, ground out away win.  The kind of fixture we’d have capitulated in previously.  Well done Villa!

this. showed we can grind it out sometimes.

still lots of work to be done. we were better with the ball on the deck and didn't like how we seemed to get sucked into the scrappy game everton wanted

It’s funny how the teams today were a mirror image of the managers. We tried to get the ball down and play (we lacked a bit of confidence at times) and Everton were all blood and thunder. It was hoof after hoof and DCL fought for everything. Not quite sure how the ref picked on as a yellow and none of the others but let’s forget about that!
An important 3 points and glad to be in the top half of the table. We need points from the next 5-6 fixtures.

Anyone else have a really blown up sense of rivalry in their head with Everton? It comes from the 2009/2010 period when we were always battling them for 5th place. That and the fact we lost the day I travelled all the way up to Goodison to watch us play them in the FA Cup in 2009. The train back home was unbearable with their fans and cocky songs.  rocket polishers. Anyway, ever since then I’ve hated them and always enjoy beating them that little bit more than other teams. The rivalry has been stoked even more after today’s bottle incident.

I did think we were generally quite poor today and possibly a little lucky we were up against a terrible Everton but that was as close as it gets to being a must win today, purely for the fact we have a good opportunity to build momentum.

We took that opportunity and didn't allow the atmosphere and absolute dog shit ref to crumble us which is a big positive.

Definitely inconsistent under Gerrard right now but we are on the right track. Bit annoying there's a break but hopefully this is a start of a decent run of points.

Did we try and get the ball down and play ? - in the 2nd half ?
