Someone explain to me why Allison whiffing on the ball and hitting Ings isn’t considered a penalty? Or is this one of those where the refs are too dumb and Ings and the team didn’t sell it hard enough?

If Salah's a penalty, so is Ings. Utterly robbed today.

VVD lucky to stay on the pitch. You'd think he was in the NHL with tbose elbows.

Take nothing away from that performance against one of the best teams globally.

To be expected really, one sided decisions, salah falls over again, penalty etc.

They are a great team, but Jesus they are such utter wanktrumpets to a man, manager and crowd.

Thought on the balance of play Liverpool were the better team but the decisive moments were the penalty decisions and surprise surprise Liverpool get the decision in their favour.

Can't fault the effort of the team and with better quality could have nicked an equaliser at the end.

We were no threat unfortunately. Theyve been sweeping most aside with 4s and 5s-0 so we can at least take heart from the defensive performance. Looked better when Emi came on. Gave Mings MOTM despite giving the penalty away. 3 wins and narrow defeats to the best 2 sides in the country is a good start for Gerrard

It took a penalty for a team that good, playing that well to put us away, were on the right track with this new manager. 

Ming's on for MOTM till that blip so I gave it to Emi1.

you can't start trying to mount attacks in the last 15 mins when already 1:0 down and expect to get anything.

some good performances out their, especially the defence, although Ming's penalty was utterly needless.

why was their no penalty at the end? Not even a review, fKing disgraceful!!!!

Great game for us, poor referring decision for Ings penalty claim, their keeper even handled outside the box during the fiasco.

We're a better team under Gerrard.

Even with that none pen decision towards the end, we got absolutely battered and come away very lucky to have only lost 1-0. Didn't really offer anything.

Worst game under Gerrard so far but I didn't expect anything from this so I'm not particularly bothered. Fixtures start to ease up a bit now time to look ahead.

unfortunate error there which cost us, but we have improved tenfold defensively under the new regime and we should be looking for 2 wins out of the next 2 imo. This time next week I think we will be on 25 points and looking forward to christmas and a couple of winnable games against Brentford and Leeds after!

Well FWIW, I think theirs was a pen, I didn’t think ours was, I thought we played well against this season’s champions and I’m more hopeful than ever under Gerrard.

So flat. Buendia has to start, Sanson could be due a start too. We played hoof ball, and some of it in the first half was shocking. Liverpool weren’t great luckily

We came to frustrate and I suppose it nearly worked but some of the decisions witnessed today were just bizarre?

Oh well, don’t let it ruin your weekend folks. 

Hopefully we’ll get two wins out of next two games.
