Very disappointing. It just hasn’t worked at all apart from against united. Everton we blitzed them but it wasn’t working well before Bailey came on. We are playing an average cb at the expense of a more attacking player. Relying on Cash and Target as the creative outlets down the flank is concerning. We looked very very good for much of last season with 433.

Boring 5 at the back again, again trying to accommodate Ings and Watkins, again playing Tuanzebe.

I don't think Smiffy will ever change from this boring formation, he's obsessed with it whether we or lose.

We’ve played it less than a dozen times in the 3yrs he’s been here.

They will totally dominate the middle of the park with those selections. It’s looking likely to be a long evening. Lots of last ditch defending, isolated strikers and long balls straight to the Arsenal defence coming up! I suspect a regulation 2-0 home victory incoming!

This exact setup was perfectly fine against Wolves prior to that collapse. What's the problem?

Watkins is never ever going to play wide so while Bailey isn't 100% just yet why bother changing formation.
