Yep. Silly club. I get that football is a cynical business, and normal job protection doesn’t apply, but they really are taking the proverbial. Go down, stay down please (KW.gif.)

You’re only ever 4-5 bad results from being sacked at Watford irrespective of what’s gone on before.

The sadder thing is that generally speaking, it’s worked for them.

Interesting post, it sort of is working for them as you say but makes absolutely no sense financially, could we be witnessing a laundering operation in Broad daylight.

They didn't need to sack him. They just needed to send him a rocket man.

No need to sacrifice.him.

Watford managers really are like candles in the wind.

14th in the table, 4 points clear of relegation 😂

What did they actually expect?

Probably a Wolves, Leeds or Sheffield type first season. Which is ridiculous.

In maybe the teeniest, tiniest bit of mitigation, I will say they've looked like complete shit in every game apart from us and Norwich, and have only played one of the big 6.

But in some ways that just makes it even dumber, like the new guy is going to come straight into this run:

Not a nice run of games. Maybe we should start a new thread on the next manager to get sacked in the PL. My money is on whoever gets the job at Watford

Don’t think it’s just about expectations, they might’ve been thinking of sacking him at the nearest chance. That’s the Watford we all know.
