Embarrassing, schoolboy errors from the defence. Minus in particular vastly outclassed.

Nice to see us create some chances but zero killer instinct. A long, long season ahead.

I wonder if Jack watches our games and feels just a teeny tiny bit bad when he sees us lose?  Who am I kidding. He’s living the dream that made his year. Good performance from us undone by a bad ref and poor defending. We go again!

Undeserved heavy loss.

Decent tactics and gameplan from the boss and, barring Mings, I felt a good team performance overall.

Worst referee I've seen all season, which is really saying something, as PGMOL has provided us with a veritable clown car of ineptitude so far in 2021/22. Should really be investigated tbqh.

3-0 does not reflect that game. It's not our strongest team yet, and Chelsea are much stronger than us. However, Mings had a shocker and we wasted some great chances. Watkins doesn't have his shooting boots on. 

For me, with more players returning, Bailey when he starts games etc there's a lot to still be excited about. This was a free hit and we missed. Never mind.

As 0-3 losses go that was actually quite a stellar performance. I do love Mings but my God he is partial to a fair few brainfarts you have to admit. McGinn MOTM, thought he was brilliant. I’m actually very optimistic.

 

Special mention for Stuart Atwell too, the absolute bellwhiff.

**** hate Chelsea. The stadium was dead until we gifted them the second goal.

3-0 massively flatters Chelsea. Mendy pulled off some world class saves, we lacked that cutting edge in the box and the refereeing was hideously biased.

First half we played like the top 4 team that we all want to be 

2nd half at 2-0 Chelsea played like the top 4 team that they are

The least ‘three nil’ 3/0 I’ve seen in a long time. Lukaku was pretty anonymous yet got his two goals.

 

We were good in the first half but were absolutely killed by the second from a Mings error.

 

Positive signs but v disappointing. Looking forward to having Emi back, Steer seemed very deep all the time?

McGinn, Luiz and Ramsey all good for us, went Dougie as MOTM.

Worst refereeing performance I’ve seen in a long time. We should have scored at least 1, and we need to do something about the defensive mistakes, but overall it was a good performance from us.

Mendy has a great game, and that was the best 3-0 I have ever seen. I didn't expect anything so don't mind the score.

Promising from Villa, especially in the midfield.

We were second best over 90 minutes but we had some decent play and had our chances. Just silly mistakes cost us something. 
 

Lukaku clinical and the difference.

Good game. Scoreline flattered them, we looked strong and took the game to them. Defensive errors cost us, plus their keeper was on fire. The makings of a good side.

Ref was a walking disaster.

 

I thought that "to be added later" had a great game. Voted for him.
