Don't know if the players are afraid of him, but Cash messed up a throw in and he looked in his direction and seemed to apologise.

He has an intimidating presence about him, like that quiet teacher that you know not to piss off

LIverpool have a throw in coach, I think.

sadly, they did when they come past the Aston social once.....bottles were being thrown at it...(after they stopped and threw glasses over the social garden fence)

Just now, Phil Silvers said:

Austin McPhee = 12 points we wouldn't have had before he came.

Of course we wouldn't have, they don't start doling points out until the season starts.

But seriously, a great appointment. I think we're building a really great young coaching team who are only going to get better.

But Danny Murphy said...

Murphy wasn’t far from Mike Bassett “four four **** two” when he said that. And he knew it. He was trying to play to the “game’s gone” crowd; delighted he ended up looking like an oaf. He wouldn’t have said it had Pep hired a set piece coach.

The thing about the set pieces is they aren't going to come off every single game. But you can see we are so well drilled in so many different routines, and we're only a few games into the season.

Imagine once these players have had months of working together on the routines.

Best thing as well is it puts fear of God into opposition about putting ball out for corner or throw in, which forces mistakes in open play.

It's all coming together very nicely indeed.
