KMitch Posted August 8, 2021 Share Posted August 8, 2021 Halftime: Yeah, we're playing 442, but we aren't playing bad or "being overrun". Baffled by some of the comments I've seen here so far. McGinn & Nakamba have been the two best players on the pitch. El Ghazi - Needs to be replaced, ASAP. Wasted every single corner/free kick he took and did fook all with the ball for as much as he's been passed to. Great penalty, but he's the main reason why our attack has looked so poor. Defense - All 4 defenders have made at least one individual error this half. Shades of our shambolic defense of 19/20. Need to get the cobwebs out, ASAP. Ings - Brilliant runs/touches and a great finish for the goal. Will be a key man for us this season. The Italians - Physical, pressing well all over the pitch, sitting back defending well, and trying to hit us on the counter. Playing like a Premier League side. That's who came to mind, AEG might get a few of the early games in but I'd expect him to be on the bench for the majority of the season.
