In the last few years, the only concerning thing in my opinion is that glut of hamstring injuries in 18/19, and looking at the dates, it looks very much like him being rushed back and it being a single injury he didn't properly recover from, though that's a guess on my part. Other than that you''re going back to 2016 for him having a serious injury

From what I've seen of Southampton under hassenhuttl, he seemed to use Ings really well, he would sub him off around the 60min mark a bit and was willing to use him as sub aswell

My initial impressions were that this signing didn’t fit our model, and whilst we may get a couple of good seasons out of him, we were pissing money away.

On reflection, he is only one year older than Kane who is worth 125m!!! They have similar output per minute.

Astute signing and one which will push us close to Europe I am sure!

Grealish's injury record for the curious.

I cant get the data table past like @Davkaus :)

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-grealish/verletzungen/spieler/203460

We maybe about to get 100M for this player. Cant say its all bad.

amazing looking at the stats, Grealish missed 10 games in 15/16, 15 games in 17/18, 16 games in 18/19, only 3 in 19/20, and another 12 in 20/21.

blimey......thats some injury record for a "non super serious injury" - like an ACL etc.

thats averaging 11 games missed per season, and the 3 missed in 19/20 lowers it a lot, if you take the 4 worst of the 5 seasons, it averages 13 games missed per season.

im almost glad we are getting 100m to reinvest in the squad 😜

Didn’t even think about subs. If these players give Smith the chance to relentlessly press for all 90 minutes we’ll pick up so many points we’d have normally thrown away.

I know! Its amazing when you see it laid out. Its very regular. Grealish is injury prone.

And 100% profit for FFP purposes, I seriously think we're going to end up better off for it

This!  It’s a squad game and we will have a stronger one now.

Was real but I got it now. Now I wanna know why he was DMing Ty Bracey!!

Possibly sees him as having a bit of clout, being on Villa View the odd time and that.

Ye if you think Vardy and Aguero are 4 or 5 years older than him.

Worst signing in the club's history? I'm leaning towards yes.

Makes no sense at all, injury prone, old and not needed in any way

Have read this and nothing after, but I think you are talking bollox, or you are 12 and on holiday with your parents and bored out of your brains ? (What little you have )

We've done an absolute madness here lads, most of the press were saying City and Chelsea should be looking to Ings. Liverpool and Spurs fans were all looking to Ings and we popped up at the back post and done a madness.

If we get 3 years of Prime Ings in the premier League. We'll have had the same Premier League seasons from him as we did Jack Grealish. Just enjoy it and realise we've done well here.

Yeah, it doesn't fit the model. Rules are made to be broken. Just go with it
