He's an explosive player who didn't have a pre season and is dealing with niggling injuries.
Popular Post JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Bailey undoubtedly has X factor, but I think it's a disservice to lads like Ings, EMI, Ollie, Traore etc. To suggest we are null as a threat without him. Losing 1 player is no longer like losing Jack, the squad is incrementally stronger in multiple positions, coupled with the improvement of signings from last season. Bailey is more of a " cherry on top " or added boost/tiebreaker when needed for us now , as opposed to an absolute necessity. I, more than most want him in the team, but I don't think being without him, spells impending doom, like it would have in the past. I'd rather he be managed properly and nursed back to full fitness. In seasons past we might have needed to play him with 1 leg. Not sure if I've worded the above correctly but hopefully the point gets across. The Inspiration
If he’d “ruptured” his quad which would indicate a full detachment of the muscle and/or tendon I can tell you now he wouldn’t have been standing let alone walking off. Just a poor choice of words I reckon

jacketspuds
We have had shite luck with injuries so far this season, and we're still in September. Fingers crossed he actually comes back after the international break and not in November or December.

I just want him back fit if that means 100% in November rather than 95% in October I’m happy to wait but as you say want him back 100% in October if at all possible. We have a long season ahead, with a bit more squad depth I don’t want players rushed back. Can’t believe our luck with injuries!!!

sne
Here's hoping he doesn't get called up for international duty while not 100% and comes back injured again.
Vive_La_Villa
Players get injured. That’s football. Good job we’ve got a squad to deal with it.
Mantis
If he genuinely is back after the October break and it doesn't drag on then I can live with that. Would only be two games he misses.
GingerCollins29
Back for wolves then? Although if you want to be pedantic - "after the oct intl break" could mean literally anytime after that bteak, ie may 2022
It's Your Round
Have we ever had a player hit the ball so hard they’ve injured themselves? Let’s hope he’s back fit and ready for the first game post break.
WHY
If Smith says he’s hopeful he will be back after the international break, that means we won’t see him this side of Christmas
