Why would you choose to play this at 13:00 on a Wednesday?

The only people involved are the teams and officials - it's being actively sold by the club as part of the preseason AVTV package and there's no reason it couldn't have kicked off at eight so that most of the people who will have paid to watch it actually can.

Poor decision by the club that one.

😄  I imagine literally 10s of people will be disappointed.

How many of the AVTV packages do you think the club will sell?

I'd imagine it'll be into thousands.

It's just a strange decision - it's the difference between driving home in the dark or not to the teams and the difference between being able to watch the game or not for the fans.

Dunno. Quite a lot abroad. Presumably people can watch it “as live” later. It’ll be reserves mostly I’d wager anyway.

I've never been to BH, but is the flood lighting adequate / licensed to be used for an 8pm kick off?

Yep, the club have played and broadcast evening games from BH previously.

'tis what tis I s'pose - the club have always had these friendlies and they clearly work from a sporting perspective, it's the commercial element of starting to sell them that brings the change.

Because some of the players are 16 or 17 years old so technically,  still children. We have to protect them as a club

That's the same for our other games?

This is isn't an age group friendly, we'll see the first team squad

Anyways, here's a couple of guessed line ups, first half first.

-------------------------------------------------Martinez/Steer---------------------------------------------

Cash/Guilbert-------Konsa/Bogarde--------Mings/Hause-----------Young/Targett

---------------------------Nakamba/J Ramsey----McGinn/Hourihane------------------------

Buendia/JPB------------------Chukwuemeka/A Ramsey------------Grealish/El Ghazi

-----------------------------------------------Watkins/Wesley----------------------------------------------
