Any concerns about moving to Europe would be almost entirely eliminated by one teammate saying it's brilliant at Villa, and another one signing for them two weeks earlier.

If this comes through and you are still not excited as a Villa fan than don't know what the issue is.

Lovely by Edens and Co building a young but strong squad

I imagine this Alvarez fellow can play all across the front 3 (he played 1 game at LW last year but got 3 assists so very impressive). And obviously Buendia can play in the 3 behind the striker. I suspecf we will see Jack as a 10. And Buendia, Alvarez, or Traore outwide depending on the matchup.

Everyone can play everywhere. We’re inventing Sun Tzu football.

Options all over the shop. Pick the most in form of the front 3/4 players and you can make a suitable line up. Swap a forward for a midfielder to tweak the formation based on the opposition or score line management.

This looks like the end of the road for sadly Trezeguet and one of Davis and Wesley, you’d presume the former.

$20m is £14.4m. performs as he has done and his sell on value is gonna go through the roof. Very astute business by the club.

Bienvenido a Aston Villa, Julian!

After chatting with a couple of River Plate supporters on the twitters, they seem to think he is more of a second striker type, who can also play off the right.

One compared him in style to Thomas Muller.

If this is true, then that's sounds quite tantalising if he is in between Jack and Emi!
