VillaChris Posted May 25, 2021 Share Posted May 25, 2021 Ukraine my outsider for this. Not to win it but have Iceland or Wales run and Shevchenko has impressive results as manager. Took 4 points off Portugal in the euros group and got 1-1 draw away to France in March in world cup qualifiers. Very good group for them to get through and get confidence boosting result off Holland aswell. Dutch a year ago were looking alright but Van Dijk injury and De Boer as manager has ended that. Good . . . still find it a bit concerning though. I have a soft spot for Ukraine, lived there for a while, but they are not necessarily great - to put it mildly - about the unsavoury aspects of their past. On a barely related note I hope Ukraine do well. They have a half decent team and Shevchenko is/was a baller that got turned into a joke over here. Reminds me of when I was in basic training back in 96 (when Croatia were a pretty new international team so therefore not very good) and England played them in a friendly prior to Euro 96.
