useless
There seems to be a notable lack of quality in the final third in these games, teams get into good postions but then seem to constantly mess up from there, only real exception has been France.

jacketspuds
Italy will be a tough team to stop in this tournament. They look excellent so far.

Pretty impressive they have 3 players in the Italy squad, can't say I know much about Raspadori tbh.
PaulC
Italy do look good. But its difficult to judge how good until they meet a top side. Switzerland are bang average as usual.

Well they have a club manager and they are playing like a club side. They all seem to be on the same wavelength. Their pressing is outstanding. The crisp passing. This is like Barca 08-12 stuff. There are no superstars in this Italy team, for the first time since I can remember, there's no one like a Baresi, Maldini, Baggio, Totti, Del Piero, Cannavaro, Pirlo etc. etc. Mancini though has got this lot playing very very well together, the emphasis is on the team, working hard for each other but most importantly he's coached them well in where he wants them to find space, who to look for when they get the ball, the turnovers... He's class and he's done some amazing work. This set of players do have all the traditional Italian qualities Italians expect a player to have, just good basic technique, first touch, all the stuff repeated by the kids coaches. Stuff that frankly used to make some players stand out in England until 30 odd years ago and was normal over here.Technique wise the English players have caught up they are hyped up to **** though. Man for man on papaer I take your point, fine lines though at the top level, there's no gulf in class between Italy's and England's squad, no matter what Sky might make you think

Been a culture problem not a technique problem for the last couple of generations of British players. Before that probably both!
