Old Fashioned Traditions

Nothing too antiquated about any of them, although I prefer horseradish on my fish. tartare is too bland (see what I did there?).

I'd say Bicks should try and lose the scouse accent;

Blandy should go for a pint with Nigel farage;

Stevo should wear socks, and sandals;

Xela really should wear rubber knickers.

Left myself out by accident. I should start being smutty as I never ever do it.

Does 'antiquated' = 'bad' here?

Are we looking for traditions that we hate, and would like to see the back of?

Or ones that we like, and want to preserve (or even revive?)

With regards to my post, the whole thing needs binning. People should be free to divorce without any patronising nonsense and having to pay thousands of pounds.

Mike, I hadn’t thought of that angle, happy for you to offer your sage of advice

Speedboats as the main prize on game shows.

Bring that back.

I wanna see Maureen (retired), from Nuneaton, win a speedboat.

After rejecting the bin she thought was a holiday and the holiday she thought was a bin winning the speedboat she thought was the caravan, brought on by the Ted Rogers collection in round one

Bonfire night can **** right off.

clearings in the woods chucking dangerous explosives about.

Kids maiming themselves.

Babies woken up.

Pets petrified.

The damage to the environment.

People dying due to bad storage.

FFS we have 3D TV with surround sound now.  Do we really need to watch coloured lights in the sky going BANG?

I am liking these new drone displays though. I can see some real innovation in entertainment coming along soon with non of the above issues.

There's 2 here that seem stupid to me, you can't put your washing out on the balcony or put glass in a bottle bank on a Sunday

My wife still can't show me which page of thr bible that shit comes from

An English one that I like though! Just for some positive ones...

Take your hat off when eating

That's a must for me, not gonna take it to Tony Soprano levels but I'll call you a word removed under my breath if you don't do it

The UK honours system, obviously. The Royal Family, and the house buying system. Basically anything that I post in the piss you off thread.

You'll derail the thread like that... Cos I'll throw in the reluctance / inability to modernise the BBC, the NHS and the FA

Assuming you normally eat indoors, that's a given. No need to ever wear a hat except outside in cold weather (or very hot weather, I guess). If you happen to be eating a sandwich while out on a hike, fine, keep it on.

Isn't that just a practical thing,  or it falls in the dinner ?

If a Top Hat goes it could cause a right kafuffle at slurpee soup time ?
