With Grealish as a no.10 its not so important to have a ball playing center midfielder. they just need to feed him and he can pull the strings

It will help, I suspect he comes deep a lot to get the ball when ideally him getting it on the edge is a lot better. We will see, I think Ali is pretty lazy so hopefully Naka and McGinn aren't constantly pressed.

I swear McGinn got his 10th yellow against Palace

It's 5 yellows up to GW19 and then 10 up to GW32 unless that has changed in the past few years. Beyond GW32 you have to get 15 yellows for a 3 match ban.

I will watch the game tonight, with one eye on how we deal with stopping them.

Do we press or do we stand off an let them play.....will be interesting.

Hold on, we playing 3 at the back with Matty as a Wingback/Winger? Or is Konsa RB?

Think we’ve just gone full Martin O’Neill

Matty is pretty good going forward to be honest, so I actually wouldn't mind.

However Traore wouldn't do the defending so rules that out.

Guessing it will be as DCJonah said.

McGinn and Jacks first instincts is going forward, not defending.

Balance in that midfield is not right imo

Yeah add that to my list of concerns.

Plus we have CBs who loved to go shooting up into the opposition's box and this was a concern of mine last spurs game and I called it spot on. Ming's got caught out as well racing back and couldn't get back in time for spurs and Son countering.

Nakamba is the only defensive minded player in that midfield.

I have my suspicion how the game will pan out, hope they prove me wrong.

Nice to see Marvellous in there. Still think there's more to come from him, he just needs more minutes. Imo, much better defensively than Luiz.

Agreed mate
