Starting 11 was poor, most of the subs were poor, tactics were poor, most individual performances poor .

Our best cm pulled off when mcginn and luiz were anonymous most of the game.

All things point to a manager who has so little tactical ability and is completely out of his depth.

Honest god how after last week and every appearance does barkley get on and not Davis.. 

Hes isuseless, loses the ball, fumbles chances, slow on decision making, doesn't track back or chase, it literally feels like going down to 10 men everytime he comes on

Lack of quality at the key moments

Barkley one on one with their CB edge of their box, either shoot or play in a teammate

Does neither, its cleared, McGinn then passes the ball straight to a Liverpool player and a minute later (with some lazy defending) its in our net

They were there for the taking if we had played two up front and put more pressure on the CBs , I cant get my head around it. Look at the team we finished with against Fulham . Some one explain why we didn't start with that team

Deserves to lose. Midfield sloppy and poor, could have got something if we didn’t keep giving it away so cheaply.

Massive over reaction to Barkley who I think offers more than McGinn or Luiz who offer nothing nor have done most of the season.

Should have used The bench better, Smith is so reluctant to admit he gets it wrong and makes it worse by sticking to a losing formula.

What formation / team was he supposed to play? Grealish and Sanson injured. Barkley and AEG been crap for ages. 4-4-2 would have been suicide in midfield.

Thought he got it right and we came close to getting a good point.

Everyone’s fixating on Liverpool’s form, but their front 5 or 6 are world class.

Infuriating again. How many times to we make it easy for teams? Liverpool were there for the taking, yet we can’t even control the ball. So many loose passes, so much space for Liverpool. 
 

Voted Martinez for MOTM, he made some outstanding saves. We could have got a point from this but threw it away.

One thing I can understand. How was the TAA tackle on Trez not a pen? If that was Kane he'd have jumped over TAA and gone down holding his face and everyone would be calling him "clever"!

Liverpool there for the taking and we blew it even after getting away from a very dodgy offside decision.

We will come mid table which is progress but a long way from top 6-8 club some of us are dreaming about.

Midfield is not functioning without Jack at all. Got  a good back 5 and Watkins leads the line well but the middle bit is a mess. I would not have given any of the midfield more than 5/10 today.

pleased with the workrate, and played some good stuff and created some good opportunities. poor sub IMO and a davis instead of barkley would've gotten something from that
