Bellingham takes the ball off Ederson perfectly legally and ref immediately blasts the whistle before Jude can put it into the empty net (so VAR can’t check it). Bellingham got booked too. Something vaguely similar happened in our game when a Fulham player just fell over before Watkins was played through, why not just play on and then ask VAR to check it? Tin foil hat time, but why else not just wait before "stopping play"? And how long did it take him to overturn that Rodri dive? Clearly wanted to give the penalty if possible.
