Popular Post Dom_Wren Posted March 2, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted March 2, 2021 *Mods-tried to put it in the missing members topic but it was locked, more than welcome to lock this or move it wherever you see fit! 2020: Feb: found out missus was pregnant March- August: No in person coaching or teaching due to covid Sept: Baby born Nov: Got covid Xmas and new years: Rushed to ICU with blood clotting in gut, variceal veins in my esophagus and internal organs issues. Doc said it was 50/50 id have made it if I didn't make it to hospital in. Spent a week in ICU Jan-present: Written out of work till March 15th, cant pick baby up, can hardly walk, need a cane, basically housebound. Lost 45lbs but had aseities of the stomach (fluid build up), and every 10 days they had to drain (paracentesis) 20-25lbs of fluid from belly. Talk of surgery and transplants. Feb 1st back in ICU for a week due to more bleeding. Still bloated and can hardly move/sleep/eat. Late Feb the Doctor messes with my medicine, and things starting to look better. Says organs are regenerating, all other bloodwork looks normal, so now jut hoping that this flattens out and actually works...Feel great when I've been drained but its not a pleasant procedure, much rather do it with pills. I'm able to get out of the house for a bit, drive for a bit, And try and ease my way back into things, Go docs on Friday and gonna try and get him to write me back into work 11th of march. So haven't been around much, read a lot but didn't even really know how to write this post as my life has changed 180 degrees in one moment. I have had tremendous support from the community that I live in and obviously my wife, so hoping the baby steps forward can keep going and lead a quieter somewhat more simpler life! I'm ready!
