Need advice - Laptop briefcases for work/travel

I'm looking for a rather light weight thin bag/brief to use for work and travel.

Prefer non-leather.

Ideally no more than 2-3 inches deep.

Less is more.

Classy casual is the idea.

Need to fit a 13,3 inch tablet.

Under £ 500.

I quite like Filson and Tumi, but they are either too big (Filson 16 x 12 inches) or Tumi who have ruined their old product line.

Anyone have suggestions?

I quite like my Knomo laptop bag. Very good quality.

For travel, I personally have no problem looking like a school boy and rocking a stylish backpack. I have a business-friendly £120-ish Samsonite that fits neatly under the airplane seat in front of you (remember airplanes?) and I use everyday for work.

Good shout. They look nice. Guess I have to reconsider leather

I used to use this back when a day bag was something that people did: https://www.jack-wolfskin.co.uk/trt-field-bag/2007051-6350.html (mine is many years old).

This is the best short trip bag I've ever owned https://www.arcido.com/products/oxna

I've got a pretty good overnight bag from Diesel, but there is nothing like it on their web site.

I have a Knomo Laptop sleeve and it's lovely. Very nice quality. Not what you're after but can vouch for Knomo stuff being decent!

Think I might order a Filson. https://www.filson.com/eu/luggage-and-bags/briefcases-and-computer-bags/ballistic-nylon-dryden-briefcase.html#sku=20049878-fco-005897531

Still a bit too big for my liking, but it seems finding a smaller type, non leather, which looks smart casual ish, is too much to ask for.

This looks alright as well: https://topodesigns.com/products/commuter-briefcase?variant=6318952961
