Spending 40m on someone that doesn't improve our starting 11 is pretty stupid. When we start finishing 6th, then yeah I agree but we finished 11th. Different games suit different strikers and to have either Abrahams or Watkins on the bench to change things in a game when required would put us ahead of most teams in the league. Sometimes you need the ability to change things during a game, something we weren’t able to do in many games last season. Do I believe the rumour, No, Smith said he would be waiting until preseason to determine where Wesley is at, but nothing would surprise me. I've never been a fan of him, no doubt his goals got us up but feel he doesn't work half as much as Ollie. The Abrahams thing really bugs me, always hear it in commentary, where has the s come from? Smith has said he wants proven PL players, Tammy fits that for the right price. I think he’s the right price, we know he fits this club and proven.
