I’ll wager there’s been more very good players bought for less than £35m than for more than £35m

Examples please since NSWE came in, sorry it's impossible to say since we've not broke a 35 million pound record signing yet.

But if your talking about the rest of football then it maybe, because alot of those under 35 mill signings who were brought below 35mill who ended up being ace players usually end up costing more than 35 mill in the end.

Yeah because of inflation. But now the top 10% of players (so like 2 starters per team) in the top leagues cost that much.

If we were going by the top 10% of cost each year you would almost certainly see that a higher proportion in the top 10% of transfer fees are successful.

Pereira high up for that and at relegated midlands team

I'd like periera at villa, he did things for West Brom like Grealish does at villa, he motivates West Brom players and boost there morale, he did it against us. He's tricky, he will run at opponents and he will make a mockery of defences on his day.

He's one play i think Smirh could develop and would be a handful on the right.

He played on right against us but played CAM or second striker 13 times for 6 goals 1 assist. The game against Chelsea he played on the left and scored 2 goals and 2 assists.

I think he would be good permanent replacement for Barkley at #10

So would I that would have been a world record until about 20 years ago….

But it’s beside the point I made

He would be a definite upgrade on Barkley - certainly the Barkley that showed up after injury.

My Baggies supporting mate also raves about their DCM - Jokuslu - and says he is more than good enough to stay in the PL and is a top half player .  I haven't seen enough of him to comment?

Guess I haven't seen enough of Pereira to really comment. But I think if we need a set piece specialist for the first team, he first and foremost must be a quality footballer that really upgrades the first eleven. I'm not entirely sure that's Pereira. But I'll trust those who have seen him plenty.

He’s okay. Far from marvelous though.

He’d be a great signing and actually I think would allow real on-field rotation between the  three behind Watkins. And as you guys say we are desperate for a good set piece taker. I voted for Pereira over Buendia in BOF’s poll partly for that reason.

Apparently 36 bil. But I don't understand how. Nassef is worth 9 billion, one of his brothers is worth 3 billion. And his other brother and his dad are each worth 1.5 billion. So I'm not sure how their families combined net worth is 36 billion.

You know what, if I ever make 3 billion it’d be just like my brother to make 9 billion to show me up.

I think he's be a good permanent player myself. I try not think of Barkleys replacement because almost anyone could come in and put in a couple of decent appearances within a season.

The point I'm trying to make here is that the WB player seems to be able to lift a team he plays in, he rally's them and it's because of how he plays. He is there version of Grealish, now we keep saying that we need another like Grealish and while he's not exactly like our captain he certainly Dazzles with his creativeness. I see nothing wrong for making a move for Pereira and to be fair it's a double whammy all the more when we get to annoy the Baggies because all over there forums they say they'd be okay with him going to anyone but us.

I just think it would be a decent move, he's certainly an upgrade on our midfield players I think and I think having him as a CAM if Grealish stays on the left could be a fantastic idea. One thing you can certainly say about Pereira is he can feed a player and break down a defence and with the fact he can play in various positions, makes him a talant you can fit in alot of places. I do think that's what we're looking for more and more in players, that they can be moved around of swap around during a game to cause confusion.

If it is one player I'm down for us bagging (no pun intended) from a relegated club, then Pereira I have been most impressed by from all the clubs players who have going down next season.

I only watched the first two minutes of that Pereira video but looks like he should have had another ten assists just based on that.

He would have for us, but here he is playing with babies.
