He was moved into the centre because he wasnt that great out wide. Why would we play a guy who was an above average Championship winger on the wing in the Premier League when he had proven to be a very good Premier League striker

You see when you comment on my posts without even reading them it is kind of pointless.  I haven't said that Ollie should play on the wing.  I mean if you disagree with me - fine.  I get that you prefer him as a lone striker.  I have no problem with that.  But at least pay me the courtesy of reading what I have written before dismissing my suggestions as senseless. 🙂  Let's just move on and discuss something else now because I'm sure everyone else is getting bored of this now.  UTV

That fact that DS said he's excited about the irons they've got in the fire suggests that one or two deals might be wrapped up sooner rather than later. Let's hope Buendia and Rashica are the two!

What about someone like Shaquiri for a bit of experience if we are looking at people on the fringes of the CL clubs?

He's a bit over the hill, isn't he?

Sounds good - did he say that recently?

In assuming we'll dip into the championship at some point...although I haven't kept up with it this season at all.

Whoscored has Buendia as top rated. Sarr is in the top 20 but doesn't seem to be spoken about much by anyone anymore. Olise is in there. Danjuma from Bournemounth appears to have done well and Souttar may be an interesting signing at CB to replace Engels.

For comparison, the previous year's list had Benrahma top, Perreira, Eze, Bowen, Watkins, Cash all in the top 20, so seems a good gauge of those who may be successful.

At one of the match press conferences, was asked if fans should be excited by the targets.

He responded saying that he was excited by the targets, so we should be as well.

Something along those lines.

Myron Boadu has just scored twice for Netherlands against France in the U21s. Looked him up and he is 20 and has 1 in 2 for AZ.

That seems a much more likely type of target than Tammy. But then again, Dike who was at Barnsley would probably jump infornt of him in the queue due to English experience.

Its hard to predict this new, actually efficient scouting set up. It was much easier in the old days, it would just be some nondescript bench player with one appearance for a top 6 club.

thats just speculation.

Everything is speculation until it isnt..can you see chelsea letting go a striker like tammy who is still in contract and now a verified CL winner for less?

It could be argued, which is what negotiation comes down to....that we bought a player in a similar role for £28 mill and is in the England set up.....Tammy isn't.

Thats how I would be arguing.....He has come through their academy, so any fee is all profit.

You have to eek out reasons to play less....while they look for ones to pay more.....its fun.

No thanks. And the club seem to want want players on the up.

I would happily see Rashica arrive, especially if he is now £13m, thats seems a reasonable gamble for a squad player (especially as Trez is out long term). Hope we have some bigger targets though; Buendia, Tammy and Rashica would move us forward again, but I also think despite the local press putting a lid on speculation of late, I do think there will be a couple of unexpected quality signings.

Isn't he on hundreds and hundred of K, it is the Shaq from Liverpool your in about? Not a chance in hell we should bring him here. 29 and not been seen much for god knows how long, a wasted player with good talent gone to waste. 14 appearances in the prem and that's from the 18/19 season.

Think I'll massively pass.
