useless Posted May 22, 2021 Share Posted May 22, 2021 Brooks and Cantwell are both very good players, wouldn't be desperate to sign Cantwell but at the same time would be far from disappointed as an extra option, he's one of those players that has gone from being overrated to become underrated. There are some decent players in the championship, but we're getting to the stage now where it's harder to find players from that division that would improve our starting eleven, I think DaSilva probably would if we wanted an attacking midfielder to replace Barkley/Hourihane. Buendia, despite one good season in the PL, comes from the Championship and isn't yet a full international for Argentina. We had two 30M transfers from the Championship last summer, but that was exceptional, then we have the economic situation at the clubs after the pandemic, still difficult to know where the market is. Was about to say, I don't think that's accurate. 26 - 33 million can also get you an Ollie Watkins. 15 - 20 mill can get you a Martinez etc. I get the point he is trying make but it's not that straightforward IMO.
