Popular Post useless Posted May 6, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted May 6, 2021 We aren't going to move Watkins wide for two reasons, why would we move him wide when he's done so well upfront and been our best attacker after Grealish, to sign a striker guaranteed to be better than him would cost £60m plus at least, we're not going to spend that kind of money on a position that doesn't need fixing. And secondy, and most importanly, why would we play someone out of position in one of the wide slots, when we could just buy a specialist to play there, Watkins has played wide before but that was two years ago in the championship, we're trying to finish in the top half of the Premier league, i'm sure we'll want someone more proven on the wing. 6 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Was very highly rated back a few years ago when he played for PSG. Good player but performances stalled a bit with Valencia in complete chaos this season. Was on a trajectory to the absolute pinnacle a couple of years ago. Floundered a bit at Valencia but might just need a move to reignite his flame. Still young.
