What makes you believe Jack is a 10? Has he really ever played as a 10? He's a LW and a bloody good one at that!

Yes. Aside from the 7-2 game our best football of the season was when he was playing as a 10. He averages an extra 50% more assists when he plays in the middle and creates more space for his teammates and prevents teams from doubling up on him.

He hasn't scored as a 10 but I think that will come as like of 3 of his goals this season have come from a central position.

Source? Transfermarkt and any other source I've seen has it ending in the summer but that Villa are interested in giving him a new contract.

I originally saw a 3 year contract when he signed.

Re: Sander Berge, first game of the season I thought he was their best player. Maybe they are poor this season but all things were equal back then and it was a tight game, I also remember he bettered McGinn which is why I noticed him.

But since then they obviously lost their way and form plus I think he had some injury problems.

Personally I think he would be a good signing and he was regarded as quite a coup for them.

McNeill is improving every season and is still only 21 he doesn't score enough but he creates chances.

Six assists last season and five this season in the Premier League.

If they wanted £50 million for Tarkowski I'd imagine they'll want more for McNeill which is why it's unlikely.

I think we'll get more value for money elsewhere...

I'd like Mcneill. Like you say hes just 21 and can only improve. If we are to move to the next level these are the prices we have to pay.

Grealish himself has said he prefers playing as a 10, i think he only really started playing on the left in the PL since we got promoted and our wingers just werent very good and Grealish was....well......world class?

If we can get a top level no.10 this summer i would have no issues keeping Grealish on the left, but i would be tempted to buy two new top draw wingers and move Grealish to no.10, where he said himself he prefers to play.

This might have been the case before he got an England cap at LW.

Safegate doesn't tend to play with a "10" so Jack might prefer to stay out wide if it keeps him in the England set up?

Yeah I suspect a successful next season, won't hinge on us signing Sander Berge.

is there any good finnish players around like Jari Litmanen or Sami Hyypia, we could look at?

This kid is dynamic and fun to watch. He has that horrible pace that I think we are lacking. Him or one of my favourite two players at Lille (two of the Jonathons) would be excellent for us. Depending on where Jack plays (left or central) we can hopefully get two of those three.

I reckon we could get the actual Jari Litmanen or Sami Hyypiä if we wanted 'em.

Whoever we sign, there are some things that I’d like us to address. We need a set piece specialist. A reliable penalty, free kick and corner taker. Our set pieces really could do with being improved upon. Our two best currently are Connor and AEG and neither of those will be starting (hopefully).
We also need more pace across the team, particularly in centre midfield and out wide.
Finally we need greater physicality. We are too easily knocked off the ball.
