The Nakamba energy will be welcome and I guess we can hope that his more defensive midget helps balance out some of the stuff Barkley isn't good at. The Traore one makes more sense - his inventiveness will probably be more useful in this one than Trezeguet's graft. Have to agree actually. Smith clearly has his favourites. The side doesn’t look terrible but I’m surprised Mcginn and Barkley keep getting starts. Interesting call but it's a quite direct reaction to what Smith highlighted after the West Ham game that we were far too easily ran through in that area of the pitch, Nakamba is more limited than Luiz but more of a specialist at that job. I think we'll see McGinn play a lot deeper today to further address that. Not too confident for this but we have fire power going forward and despite their improvements they can still be ropey at the back, so there's more than an opening there for us if we can bounce back well. He’s one of our most naturally talented players and always puts a shift in. He was arguably exposed by the performances of others (cough Barkley). He’ll be badly missed, I expect.
