Well, that's 90 minutes of my life wasted

We've been poor for the last 5 games, this is just the worst performance of them all. We are struggling with a complete lack of depth, Smith has to take some blame for not using subs or trusting more of his players. 

Cannot believe how much we were outplayed by a team containing "J-Lingz"

As bad as anything from last season. Only Watkins played well, everyone else below their best.

Pros: Good goal from Watkins (the less said about his role in the others the better), world class clearance from Mings. Decent refereeing performance actually, and it's bloody nice to finish a game without talking about VAR.

Cons: The front 5 were **** rubbish for the vast majority of the game. The worst game I hope we see from Grealish all season, but in his defence, he had 2 players on him at all times. So what did other s make of the extra space? **** all is the answer. 

Credit to West Ham, they'd have given us a bloody good game even at our best. It was a bad day from most of the team.  We're still in the top half, it's not the end of the world. On to the next one.

An extremely poor performance. Gave Mings MOTM not because he was good, but because he was less awful than everyone else.

Smith needs to really think about the system, and about the personnel. It was fair enough to say it didn't matter about substitutions against Soton, but then we needed to change things up for today; playing almost exactly the same team for their third game in a week was asking an awful lot.

Hard to see us getting anything against a resurgent Arsenal either. A very disappointing night.

Comfortably the worst performance of the season. Absolutely embarrassing having a shit player like Lingard score not one but two goals against us.

Hats off to West Ham we were outplayed. We look a bit tired, need to use the squad more. Just cant play against against the press.

McGinn looks too shackled in this formation for me, still shows quality, but too shackled alongside Dougie.

I love Watkins, quality player, really very good and going to get better.

Barkley looks out of touch at present, too much too soon?

We either don’t concede or concede 3, not much in between.

One manager got his selections, rotation and tactics spot on today and the other is Dean Smith.

McGinn not good enough and Martinez has his first bad game for us, West Ham are playing too well not to take advantage of that.

Just not our night tonight, nothings really clicked. Too sloppy and we look tired. West Ham have actually played decent football, got in our faces and we’ve had no answer for it. Very disappointing to see us bullied all over the pitch.

Shocker.

Only Watkins played anything like a good level, team looked tired physically and perhaps mentally too, going to need to find something big to get a result on the weekend.

Thought West Ham played well though and were easily the better team for the majority of the match.
