I've been following/supporting Villa since around 2008. As an American I had no real connection any UK clubs and used a rather bizarre sequence of reasoning to decide I was a Villa supporter. In a strange way I related to the downturn the club had for most of my fandom, growing up a fan of New England sports teams, long before their return to winning ways, I was used to frustration and a bit of sports pain, and truly do believe it creates a stronger connection to the club and community. I'm certainly enjoying this season, but take nothing for grant(holt)ed. Looking forward to participating in the ever rational/even-handed discourse ;) UTV! Link to comment
