Villa 59 Posted January 25, 2021 Share Posted January 25, 2021 Firstly, thank you for allowing me to join Villa Talk. I am a longstanding Villa fan (since 1959). My first Villa game coincided with the great Jonny Dixon's last game in a claret and blue shirt. I have (so far) managed to see Villa play in 54 league grounds (including both grounds that Cardiff City have played in). I have also seen Villa play in Germany, Belgium and of course in Holland (Rotterdam 82)! I have had many favourite players over the 62 years. Colin Withers, Charlie Aitken, Alex Cropley, Andy Gray from the 60s, 70s. Cowan's, Withe, Shaw, Rimmer from the 80s. Merson, Bosnich, Taylor, McGrath from the 90s ( there are too many to name). Getting a bit more up to date I love watching Jack, Alan Hutton (for his loyalty and professionalism. I'm really enjoying the way we are playing under Dean Smith....playing to win and entertaining at the same time (not too many managers) manage to achieve both!
