He’s just ran alongside him to be fair. A little too tight but it’s harsh to say he lost us the game. He played really well.

He gave away the penalty.  That's a fact, and the result of that penalty meant we went away with tom - tit. The timing of that mistake couldn't have come at a worse time. On the whole, Luiz may well have had a decent game, and like I said, all is forgiven,  but he alone is responsible for that mistake, regardless.

Yet another amazing stat.. Man Utd have only had 2 or their 10 wins this season not decided by a VAR "decision".

I genuinely want to see us dive and do absolutely every possible trick in the book including maybe inventing some new "VAR deception" tactics when we play them in the return game. It would be intersting to see how often we got the decision compared to them (Although i think we all know the answer to that already)

You said it yourself, Traore offered no cover. Cash is still expected to defend and attack. With little cover from Traore or someone else filling in of course he's going to get caught out of position and yes he did get lucky against Shaw but that doesn't mean he's shit defensively or played shit.

Doesn't explain why the same happens when Trez plays or when Cash was at Forest though does it?

His lax defensive work isn't isolated to the United game, its happened all season, and throughout his career.

A ball hitting an arm directly off another part of a player or an opponent immediately adjacent is not considered a handball as of 2019 clarifications, with 2 exceptions:

1.  an arm can never contribute directly to scoring a goal

2.   An arm/hand can never be directly responsible for preventing a goal from being scored.

If Maguire were at the goal line with DeGea beaten, it would be a penalty.   As it stands, it came off his head onto his arm (no way to get his arm out of the way), and his arm did not directly prevent a goal.   No hand ball.
