I think this forum has kept my head above water during 2020 - which is probably the same for all of us at some point. Lets hope for a new year where the vaccine starts making a difference and we can all get back to the place we really love, VP. You too have a much better 2021 - we have had a horrible year but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm already looking forward to next Summer. The Villa games can’t come soon enough at the moment, as just love watching us play again. My son is 9 in the next few weeks and would love to take him to his first Villa game, so that’s a small ambition for 2021. Popular Post It's Your Round Posted December 30, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2020 2020 has been a year like no other, and I know it’s affected everyone in different ways, with so many having had a terrible time. But for me I’ve really enjoyed this year. Working from home has given me so much more quality time with my family, better work/life balance and my health has improved massively. I quit drinking 346 days ago and have lost three stone, I’ve never been as healthy as I am now. I’ve been really lucky in keeping my job without furlough, plus I spent the first two weeks of this year in Sri Lanka and got to celebrate my 40th before the first lockdown. There’s been some sad parts, and some difficult times with family and illness. And for my kids, I really want things back to normal in 2021 so they can get on with doing all the things young people want to do. Just like we did when we were 18. The vaccine can’t come soon enough. I wish you all a positive, happy and healthy new year. We’ll have a little drink, we’ll play a couple of board games just for the annual mickey take at my missus needing bi focals but refusing. We’ll graze several kilo’s of snacks. Nothing exceptional. theboyangel Posted December 30, 2020 Share Posted December 30, 2020 Every NYE since having kids (so the last 14) I’ve gone to bed and slept through, occasionally woken by cockwombles setting off fireworks at midnight! it will be the same this year, hopefully minus the fireworks!
