on smallheathalliance they actually believe clark is going to resign and holloway will take over.

That place is always good for a laugh. The amount of Villa threads that pop on there is ridiculous. Talk about obsessed.

I was at St Andrews today, loving it in the away end as my old man is a Huddersfield fan!

However, shocks me to say this as a hardcore Villa fan but I actually felt slightly sorry for them, hear me out.

Normally at Blues it can be quite intimidating, fans behind the team, deluding themselves in their 'keep right on' and 'sotv' chants. Today, there was just nothing, I simply saw 18,000 people I could relate to from the same city myself who looked depressed like I did watching us under Alex Mcleish last season. The truth is Lee Clark is clueless, it summed it up with the Huddersfield fans singing 'you're getting sacked in the morning' to Clark, then 5 minutes later for a p*ss take to Clark 'Lee Clark, give us a wave, Lee Clark, Lee Clark give us a wave' and the dumb prat actually waves to the same fans who were signing you're getting sacked in the morning 5 minutes earlier.

Comedy gold! Hahaha. I hope he stays there for many years!

But come on guys, it would be great for the city of Birmingham if they came back up, and got taken over by a rich guy from Birmingham and represented us in the CL and challenged for the title etc etc...

:D

Not seen that poster around here for a while. He seems to have gone very quiet since Clark was appointed :detect:

Said poster is odd. I completely understand and fully endorse 'club before country', but never 'local rivals before club'...

C'mon, get real. It doesn't matter how many delegations they send to Downing St with a Villa fan behind the door of number 10

Unfortunately, Cameron is probably the sort of "Villa supporter" who doesn't realise that Aston Villa is in Birmingham - and even if he does, he's likely to suffer from the TRS-T delusion that we all love each other.

IT is now a case of not if, but when Birmingham City FC is sold.

Peter Pannu is back in Hong Kong and in active talks with interested parties.

Pannu, the club and potential new owners are all bound by confidentiality agreements so there is no word from St Andrew’s or elsewhere about the developments.

And neither are the identities of potential new owners known. But is it understood there are at least three groups seriously keen, as well as Gianni Paladini’s consortium, who are still hovering on the scene.

It is widely believed one is from the India and other main suitors are from the south east Asia region.

Thailand is being speculated as the base for one of the Far East groups.

Paladini broke cover in September and admitted his Italian backers had made an offer, an incremental bid claimed to be worth £25 million.

But it was dismissed out of hand by Pannu and Blues, who seem to have other, bigger fish in mind.

Since becoming acting Blues chairman and then chief executive and managing director of Birmingham International Holding Limited (BIHL), the club’s parent company, Pannu is now the key figure in the whole takeover saga.

He has voiced disquiet about BIHL previously and in May urged them to move aside should a ‘suitable’ party emerge.

Now the former Triad-busting Hong Kong policeman is calling the shots from the top of the BIHL tree and determinedly attempting to sort out Blues’ future for the best.

He is leading negotiations and has spent most of this season in Hong Kong attending to the relevant financial and legal affairs while St Andrew’s staff continue to run the club as a going concern under his instruction.

Carson Yeung bought Blues in a £81.5 million deal in October 2009.

Pannu came in at that time as his right-hand man to run operations from St Andrew’s.

Yeung is the club’s president and owns the single largest shareholding in BIHL, 26 per cent.

BIHL’s major asset is Blues. They own 96 per cent of the club.

For the sale of this stake – the sale of Birmingham City FC – shareholder approval is needed, which should not be a problem with Pannu in the thick of it.

Yeung stands trial in November in Hong Kong to answer charges of alleged money laundering worth £59.7 million.

He faces the prospect of a jail term from anything between five years to 15 years if found guilty.

He is also fighting to keep his luxury house after putting property up against personal loans used to pump money into Blues.

To all intents and purposes, Yeung’s court case – which is expected to last three weeks minimum – and his fate should not affect any potential takeover as he only has one quarter of BIHL.

And if any of his assets were confiscated by the authorities, it would be in their interest for a takeover to go through so they could realise a return on the loans.

It is clear we are at the point of no return and Pannu, for one, realises new owners and investment is needed for Blues to prosper in the future.

There is no indication about how close a sale may be but things do appear to be gathering apace in Hong Kong.
