BOF Posted August 13, 2012 Moderator Share Posted August 13, 2012 waiting for TRS_T to come in and declare Keep Right On is the definitive Brummie song and we shouldnt be voting which will be bollocks. that song, like never walk alone was a chant sung by fans by many clubs up and down the country. just cus they carried on singing it, dont make it theres. It kind of does. You'd be hard pressed to argue that YNWA isn't Liverpool's song these days.
islingtonclaret
No he had 7 teeth removed because they were rotten. Really?Yup. That's pretty disgusting to have 7 rotten adult teeth at 19 years of age. It tells you something about how much of a shit he gives about pretty much everything in his life. He is to be avoided at all costs. That shouldn't be too hard to do. Just watch Match of the Day.

Man Utd paid £17m for David de Gea at a very similar stage in his career/development. Butland was rubbish in the second half of last year for cheltenham, and by all accounts he made an absolute clanger in SHA's last match too. In the olympics he failed to close down the angle on UAE's goal and made a complete and utter hash for one of korea's goals. De Gea on the other hand was playing top level football in one of the biggest leagues in the world...
Stevo985 Posted August 14, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 14, 2012 Yeah to be fair De Gea had played 2 seasons in La Liga. Butland's barely made a handful of appearances for SHA in the Championship
Genie
David de Gea also made a whole raft of costly errors in his first season in the Premier League. They're not buying the finished article thats for sure.
Stevo985 Posted August 14, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 14, 2012 Well that's true, but it doesn't change the fact that United were buying a much more experienced and proven goalkeeper than Butland. Doesn't mean Butland won't be as good or better mind you, that remains to be seen.
Demitri_C
you cannot honetsly compare de gea to butland seriously. he hasnt even played a game in the championship yet! so he played for the olympics big deal. he wasnt even used in the euros. de gea was playing in top league for a few seasons here is the full quote from the stys new manager. 6m for a league two goalkeeper? what planet is he on? Clark: Butland in £18m bracket Tuesday 14th August 2012 8:58 Birmingham manager Lee Clark believes an England cap would see Jack Butland's price-tag rise as high as £18million. The 19-year-old Blues goalkeeper has already been the subject of a £6m bid from Southampton earlier in the summer but the player's stock has risen since then. After travelling to Euro 2012, Butland played for Team GB at the Olympic Games and could now make his England debut in Wednesday evening's friendly against Italy in Berne. This is despite not yet playing in a competitive game for Birmingham, with all his experience of club football coming on loan at League Two side Cheltenham Town. Clark feels recent events mean that Blues can demand significantly more money from any club aiming to take the keeper away from St Andrew's. The 39-year-old manager said: "Has his stock risen? Of course. He was one of the stand-out players for Team GB and if he does get a cap, it will only enhance that. "I wouldn't want to entertain talk of selling him. But if you've got an international cap you go into a different league. "Six million just gets you a League Two goalkeeper - a full international you'd need to treble that." Genie
I agree Stevo, £18m does seem a bit 'toppy' but just stating that very young goalkeepers have gone for that kind of money in the past plus there is the usual 'English Premium' to be applied to the price. SonicVillan
We sung it during the 1957 FA Cup Final, it was sung by a number of teams in those days including all the midland clubs, i have always hated it so wrote our version of it, I wrote the words to Wipe that Snot off the end of your nose in 1972 and it went like this to the same tune; Wipe that snot off the end of your nose Wipe that snot off your nose Though its long and hairy still wipe it off till you come to the end of your nooosse so f-ck off, f-ck off, you blue nose scum wipe that snot off the end of your nose BLUENOSE. First sung by The Dougal Mob. Wrote it because i could not stand to hear KRO sung and still cannot, and its how they got to call themselves bluenoses My Dad's mate taught me that a couple of years ago, I love it. Butland couldnt get past Colin Doyle or Boaz Myhill or play in the championship for the 12th biggest club in English midlands Butland is younger now thant when de Gea made is Athletico Madrid debut. He'll make the Full England team this week as well as being part of the squad for the Euro's and Olympics. He's stuck at a shit club which is his biggest downfall. I expect he'll be sold to a much better side this summer and then could easily match David de Gea's achievements at the same age. I'm not saying he's the better keeper here. I'm saying the price tag of £18m, although I'm sure nobody would pay quite that much is not laughable when you compare what he's done, his age, his form and the fact he's English. We used to sing it everywhere in the 70`s and 80`s its a shame its died out as it really got up the mongrels noses (pun intended) By the way anyone noticed their attendence for Sat`s prestige friendly against Antwerp, Attendance: 5,408 (838 away fans), what a joke they are. flamingsombrero
http://www.bfcsa.co.uk/ UPDATE: Apparently the locals bricked the coaches. Windows broken but everyone on coaches okay. This comes from messages left on facebook. I've been running this website since 2001 and this is the worst incident I can remember. Update 2: There was supposed to be a police escort but they never showed. (According to a post on facebook.) Another post that says police held coaches back fearing they would be attacked. Which they were. I shan't repeat any more as it's obviously lots of different stories right now. :oink: Stay classy.
