Hard to plan for one of your top players going off in the first minute.

I'm assuming the pen was overturned because the Brighton player got some of the ball before he clearly kicked Trez on the shin.

It was always 50/50 - thats the fundamental problem with VAR - a TV screen and slow mo and multiple angles very often doesn't leave you any the wiser

If trez wasn't kicked he would have got to the loose ball first. Every day of the week that is a penalty. This countries refs are ****.

word removed ref corrupt ref

but **** dogshit defending and wank attacking play anyway

if barkley's injury is serious we're up shit creek. traore is nowhere near his level but sadly conor did **** all when he came on too. el ghazi at least looked interested.

watkins shite. grealish the threat but was tired the last ten minutes was pitiful, just lump and hope

well done brighton, much the better side, deserved to win, we were shit.

shooting from 30 yards means **** all, so does have pointless chances. No clinicism.

another weekend ruined. whats the point in gettng excited. all the hard work from beating arsenal, tossed away with a "defence like that the next game. forward one space, back one space. infuriating and annoying

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, **** LEARN FROM YOUR PAST MISTAKES

Was clear when Barkley pulled up that it wasn't our day.

Really didn't fancy us today at all going in to it. Luiz and McGinn not at it and Grealish very poor by his high standards. All about how we react next Monday now.

Can’t keep getting caught on the break. No coincidence we keep losing at home when we give ourselves Zero cover against sides that break quick. And the is a lot to criticise after today but mings ffs get yourself back down to Earth usual casual arrogant performance he puts in after he  gets a couple of caps for England

One of those days, we're a better team this season but this is going to be a long learning curve. Penalty could have gone either way, and if it went our way we probably would have missed given how things had gone.

Three home defeats in a row after 3 brilliant away wins. Its clear we are very much a midtable side at best at the moment, but it's encouraging to see how our performances have hugely improved over last season.

Weirdly our problem last season was we did ok versus the teams around us but couldnt beat any of the top 6-10.

This season we seem to only win against the top 6 and cant beat anyone else?

the irony.
