I sighed as soon as I heard the commentator say "Brighton have never won at Villa Park" leading up to kick off.

There wasn't much in it, and we could have won, as poor as we were. Barkley may well have been the difference. Trezeguet's finishing was a joke, McGinn was knackered ten minutes in, and Mings was far too inattentive once again. Grealish has played too much this week and today is the worst he's played in quite some time. Watkins deserves some criticism for bottling his chance when they cleared it off the line. Any of those players being on their game could have been the difference, but we deserved to lose today.

Our reliance on crosses in to the box when we can't win a header is just not good enough.

The theatrics from Trezeguet at the end was an embarrassment and cost us a genuine penalty, but it was appalling refereeing,

Disgusted by VAR. I don't care about Trez's reaction, it's a foul and, therefore, overturn is a joke. It's not an obvious error. VAR is misapplied again.

We deserved at least a draw today.

Too many tired legs from the internationals didn't help.

Would have been better if he hadn't given the pen as the pressure we had on them was huge at that point. Waiting around took all of the energy out of the game.

This isnt VAR. Its apparently the top ref in the country not knowing the rules

As every week goes by VAR ruins the game a tiny bit more. It has to end. 

Not Villas day, we could have scored 4 on another day but it wasn’t to be.
