Just shut your mouth next time Gabby. You deserve everything heading towards you right now.

Smith didn't give them enough respect. Thought he could beat Bielsa at his game that simply ain't gonna work.

Wolves left us the blueprint. Looks like we ignored it.

Yeah it's definitely Gabby Agbonlahor's fault 😑

Why should we be giving them any more respect than we gave Liverpool or Leicester?

Seen that game before vs wolves and very similar vs Sheffield utd, overload us with width and our work our midfield, the latter being seemingly easy to do

Credit to bielsa for setting them up like that but poor from Smith not to change it up

they deserved it, bamford should have scored a couple in the first half, we were very very poor and most disappointingly we gave up

that said give us a red card and a penalty and see what happens...

The hype will all be about Leeds , I mean they work hard , the have some pace , some skill and of course being Leeds they are dirty  ... but too many of our players were MIA tonight , we kinda showed that when Jack doesn't fire , we don't fire .

No complaints about the winners , in a begrudging way Leeds are actually quite good at what they do , just wish it was'n't that rocket polisher  Bamford scoring the goals , it might not have stung so much then

We are a mid table team (hopefully) and we just need to make sure this result doesn't dent the swagger that some of the players were starting to develop and we keep chalking up results to ensure we aren't in a repeat of last year.

Wasn't really any positives today , just highlights that we still don't have enough pace and quality in the team and maybe that Dean doesn't have a plan B

Bamford wont have a day like today as long he plays football  ,  but he took his goals well , though I think Martinez should have done better with the first one  ... for that incident , my commentators went on about  how he didn't mean to dive after he thought he was fouled , but from the slow mo angles look like he stamped on Mings (accidentally or on purpose its hard to say )  then threw himself to the floor looking for a pen  ..he's been banned for that previously so I think the FA should look at that again and give another ban .. but of course as Leeds have already won the title , they won't

Awful performance and only one sub?

Hopefully just a blip, but that was pre-lockdown levels of shitness.

Yeah sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say the oppo did a job on us.  Bamford got into Mings's head, we lost our shape completely when we went a goal down when really we looked like the more likely to score and win the game.  Bad day at the office, Dean should have made subs even if it was put Steer or whoever on the pitch with the instruction to break Bamford.

That was a dean Smith performance pre lockdown. I dont mind losing but in that fashion against that level of opposition  is not good enough.

We gave up. Didnt press didnt do any good with the ball. Basic shit league one mistakes. Cant even say we were tired. We were **** pathetic and they should be ashamed of that performance.

Don't think we were half as bad as people are making out or the scoreline suggests. If Jack's shot goes in instead of the goal line clearance, konsa's shot from the corner goes in then it woudl have been a different game. There were other chances, Watkins very nearly scored at the end as well.- If Mings having made the recovery run thinks of defending the player and not just running into the middle of the goal or actually stands between Bamford and the goal for their last goal...

Fine lines, they were great can't take that away from them, they did what ehy always set out to do and they do it very well. Up until they went in front it was really tight, and even then we should have been in front by then.

Lots of over reactions in the match thread, bet the same will happen here!

Score first, as we really should have, we probably win that and everything looks peachy. Our complete capitulation after their opener is frustrating and disappointing, but let’s not pretend it defines this Villa team. Let’s not be so freaking defeatist and pretend this means we’re suddenly shit again, «typical Villa» and all that crap. For all bar 30 minutes of football, we’ve been a really good football team this season and we have some really fine players and a really competent coaching staff in charge of them. Teams have collapses. This was our turn. Learn from it and be better next time.

Did anyone watching that think keeping McGinn on for 90 minutes was a sensible decision?

He played 3 games for Scotland last week and this is his 2nd game this week. Combined with Barclay carrying a knock we just couldn’t compete with their fitness levels.

If JackS shot doesn’t get cleared of the line or he passed to Ollie after that amazing run it’s a different game.

oh well, fair play to Leeds.

spineless performance, wondering if it is partially down to tiredness. McGinn and Barkley were useless.

Grealish decided to never pass the ball and Mings was awful.

We never have a plan B when things don't work.

Allowed 23 shots, 9 on target, shades of last season, not great.

We've seen us at our best and at our worst now this season. Hopefully at our average we will have enough about us to never get caught up in the relegation battle.

Learn and move on.

Leeds played very well, we didn't couldn't keep the ball for more than one pass up front and lost the ball countless times.

Cash was involved more than any of our players, Trez coming off didn't work for us, we lost any competitive edge we had in midfield , it this area was we was lacking for me.... midfield.

2nd place 5 games in, I would have accepted that at the start but this game is a disappointment

Well played Leeds and good luck UTV
