So now Jack isn't quick? wtf...

And Rashford's pace did what exactly tonight? Man's a rocket polisher. He doesn't even acknowledge he played for the one club he won a trophy at!

He did win a League Cup at Boro, but yeah I’d say we're the club most associated with him as a player.

He should be on bended knees thanking us as he was a journeyman defensive midfielder at Palace til Sir Brian converted him to a defender and thus thrusted him into being an international player. Instead he has blocked us out of his existence. Yeah he may have won a League cup with Boro but he also did crap with them, relegated them and got the sack from them.

His comments after the last game about mount passing the ball quicker and pressing, followed by tonight about pace on the wings

He is kick and rush

Play the ball long behind the full backs, run the channels, pin them high

He doesn't know what to do with a footballer, maddison as well as Jack

Comical delusion from Southgate in the presser. Who could be proud of that performance?!

Also, what's with treating this like Maguire is some 18-year-old on his international debut? It's revolting.

Quote

On Harry Maguire: "The first yellow was a challenge he didn't need to make and it put him on edge. The second one is an interception and it just take him. He's a great player and massive part of what we do. He's got a lot sticks thrown his way, he's got our full support. He just needs the reassurance that we have total belief in him. He's had to deal with all sorts, and from some people who should know better. When you're a bit older you can rationalise it, and move forward from it. He's experiencing it from the first time really, he's had setbacks but his profile has changed in the last couple of years because of the club he plays for and the success he's had with us. He's got to keep going and the tide will turn."

Watching Southgate fall on his arse and flounder in the cup final against Sevilla is great to see. Boro had a relatively easy progression to the final, only real quality opposition was Roma, needing away goals to also beat Stuttgart.
