Watkins is trying a bit too hard I reckon. Needs to relax a bit. 

Grealish looked a million dollars with the ball at his feet but passing was poor.

Awesome going forward.

But keeping the ball in the team has to improve.

Players looked exhausted the last 10. You don't need to launch the ball forward everytime you win the ball, especially not when you're 3-0 up. Need to control the game more.

Curious! I thought there was some really excellent play. A few sloppy moments, but that was one of the best all round team performances from Villa in years. I can't remember the last time we dominated a match that much. Good work rate, concentration and desire to boot.

Watkins does what we've been trying to get out of a forward since the start of last season. Turns nothing into holding the ball up as threading it - but he looks like he'll score a fair few to me.

All you can do is beat the team in front of you: we did that well.

Peculiar performance.

Individually a lot of players showed exactly the stuff we like about them, but collectively we were a bit off it.

I don't know if it's "just Fulham", but if we can play that poorly and win we're in for a good year.

If no one else has said it then I will- Fullham are doing a Fulham. That's one of the bottom 3 I think.

Onwards and upwards for the Villa. Its about time as a club we opened our legs and showed our class to the footballing world again.

Mings & McGinn 8 - both back to their best
Jack 7 - dropped off towards the end but imperious in the first half 
Referee 0.9 - I've given him 0.1 for each yellow card he gave out, because that seems to be his benchmark for refereeing a game. You get card, you get a card, everybody gets a card!!!



Special shout-out to the Tanzanian Samatta supporters who threatened to put a hex on us but just watched us win 3-0 away from home without their national hero... must hurt.
