Thats a brilliant team, this started vs Southampton in 2016 and yes them numbers are ratings. Westwood got 2 goals that day

Aston Villa: Guzan (4), Hutton (6), Richards (4), Lescott (4), Cissokho (5), Sanchez (5), Westwood (6), Gana (5), Bacuna (5), Ayew (5), Sinclair (5).

or Watford that season

what always got me, is THREE defensive midfielders (Gana, Sanchez & Westwood), with a player who semi reverted to a RB (Bacuna)........it makes my eyes bleed. no wonder we could hit a barn door.

Rowe starting CB is a versatile player who really should be on CM, but covered LB for us last season while Dasilva had a broken leg.

Eliasson at LWB is a winger  though by all accounts has done well in training at LWB.

Otherwise it is broadly an expected side. I'd have expected either Bakinson or Massengo to play, but Bakinson played so well recently he is probably starting on Sunday.

3 of the players are ones I'd have starting in our strongest possible line up out of players who aren't injured at the moment, so it is quite rotated. But I don't think there is a huge drop in quality between our starters and squad players.

Never seen Ramsey play so can't comment on his role, but Lansbury has a bit of responsibility in midfield today, he's a decent player with the ability to execute on some creative ideas. Just hoping he's match fit and ready, because I feel like he could be pivotal in how we fare in possession and whether or not our build up has much potency to threaten.

Elmo at CB is confusing but he’s a model professional and will play the role.

Wish Lansbury & El Ghazi weren’t there but it’s a squad game. Glad Davis/Ramsey/Nakamba/Guilbert are starting and hope Traoré has a blinder.
