First game back and all that but he was dreadful. Slow making decisions, indecisive and zero end product. Just another one of those nothing players we have in this squad.

Bad take imo.

You have just described Bailey.

Traore controlled the ball well, worked in good passin movements, and actually beat opposition players without tripping over the ball.

We looked better when the ball wasn't getting turned over so much on the right hand side. Not much, but better.

Wow can't remember the last time he featured in a premier league game & hasn't played for some time due to injury & he gets panned for a 20 minute substitute apparence 🤦‍♂️ this site is bonkers

In 50 games. Pretty much the same as Bailey's numbers. Not good enough.

In 37. Gerrard didn't give him a fair shot. Tbf Traore has very good numbers wherever he's been, bizarrely apart from Turkey.

Yeah, only 7 goals and 7 assists.

Bring back Anwar!

Ok so let’s just look at numbers. Premier league appearance 56.  9 goals and 7 assists.  (Most with no crowd which we all know impacts certain players massively).

Bailey - 43 appearances. 5 goals and 4 assists.

Give Bailey another 13 games and his numbers will be quite similar to Traore.

Maybe neither of them are good enough ?

No, today was his 49th game for the club. If you're going to use stats, make sure you do your research.

Except in Turkey, for us and his last season in France. In other words, his stats have been poor for 4 seasons. I dont really care what he did before that. All that matters is what he's done and is doing for us.

Hope fully move him on the summer. Just look at Bowen today, that is what a proper winger looks like

Bowen cannot do anything with a football that Bertie cannot do but 50% better.

Not sure there is such thing as consistency in a winger unless you talk elite level - Bertie is mercurial, elegant, mesmerising and frustrating all rolled into one - but one thing for sure, he is significantly better than Bailey and is due a run in the team imo

Bowen is by no means a " flashy " winger, but he damn sure is an effective one.

The players who can combine the two are a step up.

So Bailey would need another 4 goals and 3 assists in the next 13 games to equal Traore.

So as you say Traore is pretty similar to Bailey and neither are really good enough for the top half of the Premier League.
