CV positive Angel Di Maria also apparently caught spitting on an opponent.

It's got well out of hand and it looks likely that PSG will have four players banned for at least a couple of games having lost their first two.

Much of it seems to have centred around the untrustworthy Brazilian superstar Representative for Wellingborough.

apparently Alvaro has been caught on camera racially abusing Neymar, he is still a clearing in the woods but if true then hopefully Alvaro gets a 20 game ban

This is going to get really complicated. At the moment the only evidence against Alvaro is Neymar's word.

It's absolutely vital that racism is tackled both in football and in society and that's never felt more vital than this year. They're going to need to go to absolutely every length to investigate this - if Alvaro is found to have called Neymar the words that Neymar claims, then he should be subject to a ban that is exemplary, something draconian and very lengthy - there's absolutely no place for it in football or in society.

There's a massive shadow of doubt across it though, Alvaro denies it, but perhaps more importantly some of his teammates have already come out and supported him in that denial, and no other player on the pitch has come out to support having heard the words. There is more than a hint that this is a Neymar act of 'simulation'.

Neymar on the night was completely out of control, a performance with all of his nasty characteristics laid out for all to see, the dives, the aggression, the abuse of the referee, the snarl, the sly, the violence and the cowardly punch - if he's found to have then added an imaginary racist accusation to that as he came off the field then his ban should be no less long than Alvaro's would be.

For his part, Neymar has doubled down on the accusation, adding the detail of the phrase used and has also said that his only regret is that he didn't punch Alvaro in the face rather than the back of the head.

It's a hard one to call or judge, if there's racism then it needs to be stamped down on, hard, clearly and without delay - but if there's not, then Neymar will have not just proved his appalling lack of character but will have set back a really good cause that's made a lot of progress this year.

I don't envy the French FA on this one - not least because they'll be feeling the full weight of the social pressures of BLM and the financial pressures that come with PSG, Nike and a global superstar - I hope they come to the right conclusion.

Watched the game last night and the end was an embarrassment to French football. A bunch of egos having a go at each other. It was pathetic really.

As for what was said who knows at this point, hopefully it will be handled properly by the French FA. A little uncomfortable seeing Neymar being called a hero when the full details haven't come to light yet. Strange times.
