Also Alisson especially had quite a few fumbles with his feet that cost goals. Can't remember any from Martinez. Catching (both shots and crosses) he's miles above anyone else I've ever seen. It's almost cartoonish. The stats support him as well I think. For instance, he constantly overperforms post shot expected goals against (most important individual stat for analysing for value of a goalkeeper to a team imo) by an alarming amount. Largest overperformance by this metric in the top 5 European leagues since the start of that run in the Arsenal team (+11.0psxGA in 46.6 games). He's definitely a better keeper than them and his distribution is fantastic as well. He said he is not that great and one of worst goalkeeper play for them. Until he see him player, He say very suspired how very good goalkeeper he become and now he become a one of the some elite best goalkeeper in the world (top 5). we should say thanks and Arteta was dead wrong let him go when he should firm and give him first start for them after he win lots of clean sheet and 2 cups for them, so would save money and maybe sell Leno indeed (in Jan transfer). He has that most importantl asset for a goalkeeper, massive self - confidence and it's so evident in the way he commands his territory. I really hope he becomes the legend he can, with us.
