The Premier League have announced plans for every top flight game in September to be broadcast because of the restrictions on fans going to matches as a result of precautions taken because of the coronavirus pandemic. Villa's match against Manchester City this weekend has been re-arranged because of Pep Guardiola's side's involvement in the latter stages of the Champions League last season so Dean Smith's side do not play this weekend, when the rest of the Premier League kicks off. Instead they will get their 2020-21 Premier League campaign underway against Sheffield United and that match has been confirmed as kicking off at 6pm on Monday, September 21. It has been pushed back by 24 hours from the Sunday afternoon to allow for Newcastle United vs Brighton and Hove Albion to be played at 2pm on the Sunday. Fortunately for Villa fans it will be free-to-air on TV channel Pick, which is available on Freeview on channel 11. I've just had a look on the freeview listings for Pick TV for Monday night though, and it's not on there... I can't see any formal announcement from sky that it was ever going to be on pick, only from dubious news sites like the Birmingham mail so not sure if its needed, but still strange that they thought it would be.
