We have often talked of them as being a potential local shirt sponsor, but nothing has ever come of it, unlike Davenports & Rover, in the past. It would be nice if they had thought about this sort of sponsorship for local clubs, given their location. Sadly the company that took over Cadbury have no interest in doing anything positive for the city or football clubs, in which their chocolate is produced now. The size of their chocolate bars have shrunk recently, their contribution to the city of Birmingham has done likewise, admittedly over a longer period. It was horrible. Pretty sure I heard before that Cadbury's has some sort of licensing deal in America, presumably with Hershey's, that stops them selling their own chocolate. It's just some other filth using the brand. I can't see what benefits a chocolate company will get from linking up with a football club in this way, although it does surprise me you don't see some of these huge food and drink brands do shirt sponsorships considering their annual marketing spends. Jimzk5
Cadburys if effectively banned in the usa after Hershey filled a lawsuit against them for copying some of its products, now cadburys is only used as a name, not the actual product inside the wrapper is cadburys chocolate As for it being a local brand, it's been us owned for about 10 years now and most of Cadburys is made in Poland and eastern Europe I believe Edited September 8, 2020 by Jimzk5
